The reason I first decided to go to an offline concert was the Sekai Live Viewing. Even though it was a live broadcast in a movie theater, I was drawn to the powerful sound and the experience of waving penlights and doing calls together. So, after searching for information, I went to Magical Mirai this year, and I truly believe it was a choice I don't regret. For my Magical Mirai review, go here.
While I was busy living my real life anticipating Magical Mirai, in mid-July, I heard about Miku Expo being held in Korea and mindlessly booked a ticket, successfully getting ticket number 108x. Then, as soon as I heard that Magic Future, which many on Miku갤 go to, was happening on the same day, I immediately booked through the fastest pre-sale.
The day before Miku Expo. I took a flight to Gimpo because it was cheaper than the KTX, waking up early in the morning. Since I had nothing else to do, I toured Hongdae, Gukjeon, and Techno마트. Gukjeon was fun to look at audio equipment. I heard there was some 'uh-huh' stuff at Techno마트, so I went out of curiosity and, sure enough, there it was. I've seen a lot of it in Japan, but seeing figures and tapestries of 'bo-bo-kkok-bo' (a slang for explicit content) in Korea was quite a cultural shock (?). The tapestries were displayed openly on the other side, not inside the tent. Is this actually okay?

지금와서 생각하는거지만 이거 없었으면 쓰러졌을듯. 이날 밐바 예약을 해놔서 밐바가서 마시고 왔음. 밐바 후기는 여기로.
Thinking back now, I probably would have collapsed without this. I had a reservation at Miku Bar that day, so I went and drank there. For my Miku Bar review, go here.

I wasn't very familiar with Bighead's work, but hearing his remixes and DJ sets, I realized he's no ordinary person. I'll definitely check out more of Bighead's songs.

After all the performances ended, I headed to Hwajeong still wearing my hot-pie.

It was a bit disappointing that I couldn't see the Miku Expo altar because I went to Magic Future. It was hard to stand in the Hwajeong soccer field, so I sat down and browsed Miku갤. I was surprised to see a post about browsing Miku갤 while sitting, and immediately stood up. But it was hilarious seeing everyone else browsing Miku갤 around me.

As we started to head in, I strangely got my energy back.

The 108x standing area had a good view of the stage as long as the person in front was okay. I was just holding my Miku fan, but then people in front started slowly moving up, and everyone was waving their Miku fans. I joined in and started waving my Miku fan, so I didn't take any pictures of my surroundings. People also struck up conversations with me through the Miku fan, so I had some small talk. I also lent out my penlight during the performance, and it was a fulfilling concert. My concert review will be brief. I heard the sound at Hwajeong was disappointing, but right after Magic Future, my ears were ringing so much that I didn't notice it much. I enjoyed the concert by doing calls without even thinking about recording videos. Both MZ picks and old-timer picks were delicious. I'm sad I couldn't hear Taiyokei Disco at Magical Mirai or Miku Expo. Why are Koreans so fast with encores? I can't keep up because I'm out of breath. To confess, I knew the title of Literacy Satisfaction but had never heard the song before. I recognized Satisfaction by the outfit.

I got two S-class long versions and I'm keeping them safely at home. I also did Sanbonjime to wrap things up.

A shot of the SeaverBus too. I took the subway back to my accommodation wearing my hot-pie. I even did this in Tokyo, but for some reason, I ended up doing it here. The next day, I went to BlizzCon and wore my Miku fan with 'Our Student' attached, but since this is outside of Miku, I'll stop here. If BlizzCon wasn't there, I would have gone for both days.

A shot on the way back.

So, when is next year's Magical Mirai?

그래서 내년 마지미라 언제옴?

"Dude went hard, covered Miku Expo AND Magic Future, even wore the hot-pie on the subway! Seems like a solid concert experience despite some chaos."
