Actress Han So-hee and Jeon Jong-seo are heading to theaters in January with the movie 'Project Y'. Distributor Plus M Entertainment announced on the 4th, "The movie 'Project Y' (directed by Lee Hwan) will be released on January 21, 2026," along with character posters. 'Project Y' is a film that depicts the story of Mi-sun (played by Han So-hee) and Do-kyung (played by Jeon Jong-seo), who lived dreaming of a different tomorrow in the middle of a vibrant city, stealing black money and gold bars at the end of their rope. The work gained attention through domestic and international film festivals, including its premiere at the 'Special Presentation' section of the 50th Toronto International Film Festival, an official invitation to the 30th Busan International Film Festival, and the Best Film award at the 10th London East Asian Film Festival. The posters showcase seven characters with distinct, powerful personalities. Mi-sun, running somewhere in a glamorous fur jacket, hints at the urgent situation at the end of her rope with the line, "If this goes wrong, we could really die." Do-kyung is looking somewhere on the cold night streets. Notably, the line, "If you're gonna go, go hard in life," suggests she'll go through with the dangerous choice with Mi-sun to turn her life around. Following this, the lines from Ga-young (Kim Shin-rok) "Looks like you've caused a big accident," Hwang So (Jung Young-joo)'s "Hold onto your lifeline tight," Seok-gu (Lee Jae-gyun)'s "Live acknowledging your place in reality," and Ha-kyung (Yoo Ah-in)'s "Snap out of it, you belong to me" raise curiosity about how they are entangled. Lastly, Boss Tok (Kim Sung-cheol), revealing a chilling presence with the words, "We should end this now," adds to the anticipation of the thrilling developments to come. 'Project Y' will be released in theaters on January 21, 2026.
