When they tell you to 'gather the laundry,' do they actually mean gather it?

This happened during a big house cleaning session. While I was washing dishes and cleaning the fridge, I told them to clean the bathroom and 'gather the laundry.' The bathroom was spotless, but for the laundry, it was like they just dumped everything from the drying rack onto the floor...?<br><br>Do guys only understand when you specifically tell them to fold the laundry and put it in the closet? I don't have any brothers, so I really don't know.
