It's been confirmed that broadcaster Park Na-rae's solo agency has been operating without registering as a cultural arts management business.
According to Ilgan Sports' investigation on the 4th, Park Na-rae has been effectively operating under her mother's company, N Park Inc., for over a year, but N Park Inc. did not go through the registration process for cultural arts management business.
Registration as a cultural arts management business is in accordance with the Cultural Arts Industry Development Act. Corporations and individual businesses exceeding one person must complete the registration process as per Article 26, Clause 1. Operating without registration can lead to up to 2 years in prison or a fine of up to 20 million won.
The agency was established by Park Na-rae's mother in 2018. It was registered for service and event agency business, but since Park Na-rae ended her contract with her former agency JDB Entertainment in September last year, she has effectively been running it as a solo agency. However, the company was not found on the list of registered cultural arts management businesses.
In response, Park Na-rae's side stated they would confirm the facts, but later did not respond to Ilgan Sports' multiple calls and messages.
