It has been confirmed that broadcaster Park Na-rae's one-person agency has been operating without registering as a popular culture and arts planning business.
According to Ilgan Sports' coverage on the 4th, Park Na-rae has been effectively working for over a year through 'AND PARK Co., Ltd.', a company established by her mother. However, 'AND PARK Co., Ltd.' did not go through the registration process for a popular culture and arts planning business.
Registration as a popular culture and arts planning business is in accordance with the Popular Culture and Arts Industry Development Act. Corporations or individual businesses with more than one person intending to operate as a popular culture and arts planning business must complete the registration process as per Article 26, Paragraph 1. Operating without registration is subject to imprisonment for up to 2 years or a fine of up to 20 million won.
The agency in question is a company established by Park Na-rae's mother in 2018. It was registered as a service and event agency business, but Park Na-rae has effectively been running it as a one-person agency since her exclusive contract with her former agency JDB Entertainment ended last September. However, the corporation was not found on the list of registered popular culture and arts planning businesses.
In relation to this, Park Na-rae's side stated they would verify the facts, but has since not responded to Ilgan Sports' numerous calls and messages.

"Oh snap! Park Na-rae might be in hot water for running her agency without proper registration. The tea is brewing!"
