EU withdraws ban on internal combustion engine cars scheduled for 2035
The EU decided to backtrack on its 2035 ban on registering internal combustion engine cars, thanks to Germany's pressure. However, they added a condition that it'll only be allowed if using synthetic or biofuel.
Started out so hyped, but ended up backtracking on environmental regulations.
"EU's environmental goals are about as stable as a Jenga tower in an earthquake. From banning gas cars to making exceptions for biofuels and then needing complex tech to *maybe* enforce it, it's a whole chaotic mess. People are cracking jokes about corn oil cars and questioning if this is all just a fancy way to keep diesel alive."
