Apparently, it's based on the Spanish movie 'Sentimental.' Ha Jung-woo wrote and directed it (but there's so little info on the original movie, I can't find much when I search).

The spoiler post got deleted, so I'm writing down the spoilers I saw on the community and the ones I got through private messages below. It's a spoiler, so only read if you're curious! ▶️The reason the upstairs neighbors were noisy was indeed due to sex, and the story is about 8 people doing it in a group, switching partners. Oh Dal-su makes a cameo. There's a scene where Oh Dal-su, who lives next door, shows up during an argument between the upstairs and downstairs neighbors about group sex, and asks them to visit his place later. In the final ending, Lee Honey & Ha Jung-woo's couple, and their group sex partners appear, with Hyun Bong-sik & Ahn So-hee, and Cha Tae-hyun & Ji Ye-eun showing up as couples. This is a movie review from another community (spoiler alert) The genre is comedy, so it probably won't be as explicit as adult films, but the fact that it's coming out with such a theme alone... I wasn't going to write a post because I figured it'd flop anyway, but seeing them promote it on 'Achim Madang' this morning... I felt like I had to post this in case anyone watches it without knowing the content.
