Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Korean community translation platform service ("Service") provided by kNaru ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.

The following definitions apply to these Terms:

• "Service": The Korean community content translation, curation, and sharing platform provided by kNaru.
• "User": Any individual who uses the Service, including both Members and non-members.
• "Member": A User who has registered an account with the Service.
• "Content": All translated posts, images, videos, and other materials provided through the Service.
• "User Content": Comments, text, images, and other information posted by Users on the Service.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes at least 7 days before they take effect by posting a notice on the Service.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

We may refuse registration or terminate accounts in the following cases:

• False or inaccurate registration information
• Users under 14 years of age
• Previously terminated accounts (unless approved for re-registration)
• Any conduct that interferes with the proper functioning of the Service

The Company provides the following services:

• Collection, translation, and curation of Korean community content
• Comment posting and user communication features
• Content bookmarking and recommendation features
• Personalized content recommendations
• Other services as determined by the Company

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice.

We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

The Service is provided free of charge. We may introduce paid features or change the pricing model at any time with prior notice.

By using the Service, you agree NOT to:

• Provide false or misleading information during registration or account updates
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from Service content without authorization
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of the Company or any third party
• Harass, defame, or harm other users or the Company
• Post obscene, violent, hateful, or otherwise objectionable content
• Interfere with the Service's operation (e.g., hacking, scraping, DDoS attacks, or unauthorized automated access)
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to circumvent any security features of the Service
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

You retain ownership of any User Content you post on the Service.

By posting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute such content in connection with operating and promoting the Service.

You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to post User Content and that such content does not violate any third-party rights.

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms, applicable laws, or our policies, without prior notice.

We do not guarantee the backup or preservation of User Content. You are responsible for maintaining copies of your content.

Original content from Korean communities belongs to the respective communities and original authors. We provide translation and curation services and do not claim ownership of such content.

The Service design, software, translations, logos, trademarks, and all related intellectual property are owned by the Company.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or software without our express written permission.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or quality of translated content. Translations are provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon for critical decisions.

Information provided through the Service is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPANY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US (IF ANY) IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

• Your access to or use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
• Any User Content you post on the Service

You may terminate your account at any time through the Service settings or by contacting customer support.

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. User Content may remain on the Service unless you delete it before termination.

If informal resolution is unsuccessful, any disputes shall be resolved through the dispute mediation procedures under applicable laws.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of the Republic of Korea.

You consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts and waive any objection based on inconvenient forum.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding the Service.

These Terms supersede any prior agreements or communications between you and the Company regarding the Service.
