Lee Hoi-chang Former Prime Minister, Former Chairman of the Board of Audit and Inspection, Former Supreme Court Justice, Former President of the Hannara Party, Member of the 15th, 16th, and 18th National Assemblies. Basically did everything except becoming President. I'm honestly curious about a parallel universe where Lee Hoi-chang became President. Recently, his hair has turned much whiter than that profile pic. Still, his father lived to 97 and his mother to 94, so he’ll probably last at least that long.
The 14th Dalai Lama (Tenzin Gyatso) He needs to start thinking about a successor soon, but since the Dalai Lama is a reincarnation system, he said he won't be reincarnated in China anymore. Since the Tibetan government-in-exile is in India, the successor will probably come from there? Wouldn't it be better to just pre-select someone’s kid? China is definitely not going to just watch quietly. Free Tibet.
Julie Andrews British Actress It’s already been 60 years since the legendary musical films Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music were released. He's a prolific king who has directed over 50 movies while writing them all himself. His representative works include <Annie Hall>, <The Purple Rose of Cairo>, and <Midnight in Paris>. He won Best Picture and Best Director for Annie Hall and has won Best Original Screenplay three times. His history with women was quite... colorful. He even married his own adoptive daughter. However, in his later years, several sexual scandals broke out, making it hard for him to film properly in the US.
Sandy Koufax Former Baseball Player Legendary Dodgers pitcher. Although he retired early at 30 due to an elbow injury (Tommy John surgery didn't exist back then), he had 165 wins, 2396 strikeouts, 3 Cy Young Awards, three 25-win seasons, and three 300-strikeout seasons in just 11 years. He led the Dodgers to 3 World Series titles. For reference, when Koufax first joined, they were the Brooklyn Dodgers. Nowadays, Kershaw has broken most of the Dodgers' cumulative pitching records. With Tommy Lasorda and Vin Scully passed away, he's the ultimate elder of the Dodgers. Born in 1934
Shirley MacLaine American Actress An actress who worked during the now-dwindling Golden Age of Hollywood. She has a brilliant career, including an Academy Award for Best Actress for <Terms of Endearment>, Best Actress at the Berlin Film Festival, and two Best Actress awards at the Venice Film Festival. I’d recommend <The Apartment> to any Sing-bung-ies who want to get into classic Hollywood movies. She was super cute when she was young. Her younger brother is the famous actor Warren Beatty. Even now, past 90, she occasionally appears in supporting roles in movies and dramas.
Sophia Loren Italian Actress Italian actress GOAT. She was the first Italian to win the Academy Award for Best Actress and also won Best Actress at Cannes and Venice. She was also a sex symbol of her era.
Im Kwon-taek South Korean Film Director The representative Korean director before the Bong Joon-ho/Park Chan-wook era, having filmed hundreds of movies over a 50-year career. His major works include <Sopyonje>, <Chunhyang>, and <Painted Fire>. He was the first Korean director to win an award at the Cannes Film Festival.
Judi Dench British Actress A national treasure of British acting who won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1999 and was knighted. She is most famous for the role of M in the 007 series. I saw a news report that she's currently having difficulty acting because she has lost much of her vision due to her old age. Born in 1933
Michael Caine British Actor A face you see often in Christopher Nolan movies. He won Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor in 1987 and 2000. He’s a Korean War veteran. He has now retired from acting due to his advanced age.
Ko Un South Korean Poet He was once a strong candidate for the Nobel Prize in Literature, but around 2018, all sorts of disgusting behavior were exposed, and he was completely buried. Honestly, reading about his life, he seems like a total piece of trash.
Roman Polanski Polish-born French Film Director Major works include <Rosemary's Baby>, <Chinatown>, and <The Pianist>. He won the Palme d'Or at Cannes and the Academy Award for Best Director for The Pianist. As a child, he lost his mother in the Nazi Holocaust, and after succeeding as a director, he lost his wife Sharon Tate to hippies. However, it's unforgivable that he committed sex crimes against dozens of minors and fled to France without punishment, living a normal life as a director. Even worse, many film industry people defended him. I wonder if the film world will actually mourn him when he dies.
Akihito 125th Emperor of Japan (Reign 1989-2019) He abdicated in 2019 and became the Emperor Emeritus. The Heisei era is over, and it's already Reiwa year 8, but he's still alive. He is the longest-living Japanese Emperor in history. Born in 1932
John Williams American Composer One of the greatest film composers of all time. I personally think John Williams is greater than Ennio Morricone. He’s won the Academy Award for Best Original Score a whopping 5 times! Just look at the movies he's scored: Jaws, Star Wars, Superman, Indiana Jones, E.T., Home Alone, Schindler's List, Jurassic Park, Saving Private Ryan, and many more Spielberg films. He hasn't retired yet. He's doing the music for Spielberg's new film coming out this year.
Lee Gil-ya South Korean Physician, Founder and President of Gachon University Owner of an unbelievably youthful face. More than the fact that she doesn't age, I'm genuinely curious how long she’ll actually live. I seriously think she’ll make it to 110. Born in 1931
Robert Duvall American Actor Famous for Tom Hagen in <The Godfather> and the guy who loves the smell of napalm in <Apocalypse Now>. Won the Academy Award for Best Actor in 1984. He was nominated for Best Actor in the 2010s while in his 80s and even appeared in a movie in the 2020s.
Rupert Murdoch Australian-born American Businessman The pinnacle of media moguls. Honorary Chairman of News Corp and Fox Corporation. He’s stepped down now and handed it to his son. Apparently, since both his parents lived long, he believes he won't die either.
William Shatner Canadian Actor The actor who played Captain James T. Kirk in the original <Star Trek> series. He's one of the few surviving cast members of the original series. Besides Star Trek, he was also in Boston Legal. In 2021, at age 90, he set a record by going to space.
Raul Castro Former President of the Council of State of Cuba, First Secretary of the Communist Party Fidel Castro's younger brother, who took over the leadership after his brother stepped down. It’s not exactly hereditary because Raul was a revolutionary hero right after Fidel and Che Guevara. He retired at the end of 2021. He’s outliving his brother.

While Neil Armstrong was the first, Aldrin is just as famous in the US because he was much more active in public. Surely there aren't still people who don't believe in the moon landing? His existence alone refutes that.
Clint Eastwood American Actor, Film Director Successful as both an actor (Spaghetti Western trilogy, Dirty Harry) and a director (Unforgiven, The Bridges of Madison County, Million Dollar Baby, American Sniper, etc.). Won Best Director twice. People on Nu-gal (Movie Gallery) post fake death announcements for him all the time, but the legend is still alive. He even filmed a movie in the 2020s. The scale makes Korean First Ladies look like amateurs. Now that her son, Ferdinand Marcos Jr., is the President, she's even playing the role of the Queen Mother.
Shin Young-kyun Former South Korean Actor, Politician A famous actor in the 1960s and 70s who appeared in hundreds of films. After retiring from acting, he served as a member of the National Assembly twice and succeeded wildly in business, with a fortune of tens of millions. Even at this age, he serves as a senior advisor for the opposition party and is active in public life. Fun fact: Ejae, the voice actress for the K/DA Evelynn song, is his granddaughter.
Noam Chomsky American Philosopher The guy who created generative grammar, the dominant paradigm in theoretical linguistics. He seems more known as a leftist thinker, though. Recently, photos of him at Jeffrey Epstein’s villa were revealed. Born in 1926
Mel Brooks American Film Director, Comedian, Screenwriter Directed several parody comedy films in the 1970s. An EGOT winner (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony). If he lives until June 28, he’ll be 100 years old. Born in 1925 Starting from here, they are over 100 years old.
Dick Van Dyke American Actor Famous as the male lead in Mary Poppins. He even appeared in the sequel released 53 years later at age 93. He's the oldest active Hollywood actor. So, the male lead of Mary Poppins is 100 and the female lead is 90, and both are still alive.
Kim Hyung-seok Philosopher, 107 years old (Korean age) Born in 1920! He was already 25 at the time of Liberation and past 60 during the Seoul Olympics. He’s been an emeritus professor for nearly 40 years since his retirement. A student of Ahn Chang-ho, a school junior of the poet Yun Dong-ju, and from the same neighborhood as Kim Il-sung. He is living modern Korean history. It’s truly amazing that he’s still doing public activities at this age. He might be the longest-living philosopher ever. Hope he makes it to 110.
