A company called Psionic AI started picking a fight.

The experts say you have to calculate using Pearson correlation, not cosine similarity.
They say with cosine similarity, there's a glitch where every model shows 0.9 similarity for every layer except layer 0.
It's inferred that they just threw it at an AI for verification, saw the high similarity, and started beefing saying 'You plagiarized this, didn't you?'

The CEO of Upstage, who got targeted, basically said 'You picked the wrong one,' announced a livestream for the next day, and prepped his materials.

He streamed for 1 hour and 20 minutes, but the guy who started the beef didn't even show up.

As soon as the explanation stream went live...
He deleted the plagiarism controversy GitHub repo and dipped.
TL;DR: Started a fight, explanation dropped, then deleted the post and ran away.
"The community is having a field day watching a small AI company try to clout-chase by accusing Upstage of plagiarism, only to get absolutely bodied by a receipts-heavy livestream and forced into a mid-stream 'delete and run' move."
