Seriously, I’m not trying to hate and I’m not even a fan, just a local... I’ve always liked Winter and Ningning because they’re pretty, but seeing Winter get dragged this hard makes me pity her. I know they say you shouldn't worry about celebrities, but... looking at the idol industry through this incident, it feels so bizarre.
The worst part is that the ones talking trash aren't even antis, but the "fans."
Looking at the reasons, everyone is saying it’s a parasocial business and she made it too obvious or deceived the fans, but I think that parasocial mindset is the biggest problem. Aren't most aespa fans girls anyway? Before she’s an idol, Winter is a human and a woman in her 20s; of course she’s going to date a handsome guy who's on her level. It seems like the ones living in the delusion that they’re actually dating her are the ones getting triggered and hating. I think that whole culture and mindset is dangerous. They have the money to drop thousands on idols, yet... I wouldn't be surprised if Winter finds her fans pathetic.
"Fans are pushing back against the 'fandom collapse' narrative, pointing out that the core fans are still loyal and that the hate is mostly coming from obsessed antis and jealous rival fandoms."
