This lady here is Eowyn from Lord of the Rings. Sheโs the niece of King Thรฉoden of Rohan, and basically like a daughter to him.
You might recognize her as the one who made *that* stew. (The one that even Aragorn, who survives death itself, barely managed to swallow...) As a royal from Rohan, the land of horse-lords, Eowyn is brilliant and a skilled swordswoman, but because sheโs a woman and the Kingโs favorite, sheโs forbidden from going to war.

Aragorn: 'What do you fear?' Eowyn: 'A cage. To stay behind bars, until use and old age accept them, and all chance of doing great deeds is gone beyond recall or desire.' Just from this line, you can see what kind of spirit and convictions she has.
Alongside Merry the Hobbitโwho, much like her, has the will to fight but was excluded because he wasn't a 'stout man'โshe secretly joins the battlefield. And these two... in my personal opinion, create one of the most 'PC' yet impactful scenes in cinematic history. They encounter an overwhelming force trying to kill the King of Rohan. Not just a strong enemy, but a whole different level: the Witch-king of Angmar, Sauron's right hand. It was common knowledge that 'no man' could kill the Witch-king.
'You fool. No man can kill me. Die now.' The Witch-king: 'You idiot, no human male (Man) can kill me. Now die.' But right after this line, the Witch-king gets blindsided by Merry (who isn't a 'man' in the human sense) and falls before Eowyn...
'I AM NO MAN.' This is the ultimate wordplay and a perfect narrative payoff that completes her arc. Despite being a male-centric fantasy film, Eowynโs story is so well-done that even female-dominated communities praise LOTR as a feminist masterpiece. As everyone knows, LOTR swept the box office and the Oscars, becoming a legend to the point where no fantasy film since has been rated higher. 'Woke' movies don't sell? It's not because of the PC elements. Movies like Shrek and Zootopia are full of PC themes and they were huge hits. The ones that fail are just boring and try to shove a message down your throat without a proper narrative.
"Users agree that 'PC' or 'woke' themes aren't the problem, but rather bad writing and 'preachy' directors who prioritize the message over the story, with many citing Eowyn as the gold standard for how to do it right."
