I saw the anime tier list that made it to the DogDrip front page and decided to try it myself. I looked at a list of about 500 manga, but I didn't recognize more than half of them... so I just picked out the ones I actually know.
I'm sure some people won't agree, but my criteria is: the more unique and fun the manga is, the higher the score. However, if the ending tanks, I dock points heavily. Examples are Bleach, Gintama, and Reborn!. I categorized them based on: Is it finished? vs. Am I still following? vs. Did I drop it because it's boring? Usually, completed series get better ratings. Boring ones go straight to low tiers. Ongoing series are mostly B~D tier since evaluation is pending.
I also gave low scores to stuff that uses vibes or negative emotions I can't relate to just to bait readers. Like Fake-koi (Nisekoi) where some first-love keepsake randomly pops up whenever there's plot progression, or Sukuna-pox (JJK) where characters just keep getting killed off with no real plot movement, or Fire Punch which just has an incomprehensible plot...
Also, I gave low scores if the fun factor was too low compared to the brain-melting lack of logic and consistency. Like Kingdom of Ruin, where the enemy spawns 200 Marines and Firebats every time while the MC's side only has 5 Tanks and 10 Vulturesโit's just a 'stunt show' that's more magical than actual magic..
Notes: 1. The Breaker is based on parts 1 and 2. I haven't seen part 3. 2. Even though Vagabond is unfinished, the art and direction are god-tier, so I rated it high. 3. Psycho-Pass is based on Season 1 only. 4. One Punch Man is based on the original webcomic (ONE). 5. Conan includes recent developments (if it ended at the Full Moon arc, it would've been S-tier).
"Users are tearing apart OP's questionable rankings, especially the high placement of Demon Slayer and the 'farming simulator' Vagabond, while some are surprised by the high praise for Haikyuu."
