Got divorced after about 10 years of marriage. Finalized the paperwork last year, and about a month ago, I moved out in a total whirlwind. It still doesn't quite feel real—organizing the house, fixing stuff up, cleaning, cooking for myself... Even if it’s not a house I own, it’s the first home under my name, so I think I’ve been a bit dazed. My heart always felt uncomfortable whether I was at home or out, but today a guest I invited told me I look so much more at ease, which was a huge relief. I have to protect and raise my kid until they're an adult, so I'm just glad I don't look anxious or uncomfortable anymore.
