A lot of people think it's actually hard to fail a credit card application. Most undergrads can get one easily, but once you go to grad school, get your PhD, and become a postdoc, the credit check... I won't say any more.

The reason college students can get credit cards so easily is that they have a high chance of becoming 'salarymen' in the future, so their creditworthiness is judged to be high. In other words (the rest of the page is torn off here)
