Around 2:10 PM today in Howon-dong, Uijeongbu (sidewalk across from Lucky Mart near Mangwolsa Station), a man in his 20s was hit directly by a falling sign (15m wide, 2m tall) that fell from a height of over 10m.
The man was in cardiac arrest with brain parenchyma herniation.
Brain parenchyma refers to the actual brain tissue. To put it simply, his brain matter came out. It's reported as cardiac arrest because a doctor hasn't officially called it yet, but it's basically instant death...
