Midnight Cowboy (1969). While filming a street scene without any crowd control, Dustin Hoffman almost got hit by a taxi. He yelled "I'm walkin' here!" in a thick NY accent and started beefing with the driver. Then he casually ad-libbed, "Actually, you could even squeeze some cash out of a guy like that," which fit his character Ratso—a native NY hustler—perfectly. It has since been homaged in countless movies and shows.
"Netizens are losing it over the fact that one of cinema's most famous lines was a total accident caused by a low budget and zero street control."
