A member of a Japan travel cafe tried to buy a 600k won flight on Agoda. It was clearly 600k until right before paying, but they got charged 1.2M won after the transaction went through.
When they asked for a cancellation, Agoda said they could only refund 630k won.
They reported it to the FTC and the Korea Consumer Agency, and they ruled it was indeed deceptive behavior.
Agoda then acted like they were doing a huge favor and said they'd refund it 'just this once'.
