What personally bugs me about game companies using AI

They're selling flawed AI results to customers at full price. I get that AI is the 'trend' now, but theyโre plastering it all over their celebratory art and event banners. It's so freaking obvious. Since outdoor ads are expensive, they use less AI there or use actual illustrations, but for general promo stuff, it's all AI and looks like absolute trash.
They don't even disclose they're using AI, they just spam it everywhere, slap on an 'Early Access' or 'Beta' tag, and then copy whatever the current meta BM is. If you're gonna use AI, at least give the customers some kind of benefit. If the company is going to hog all the profit, of course customers are gonna hate AI results.
"Gamers are calling out the 'AI laziness' trend where companies cut costs but still charge full price for janky, unpolished assets. Everyone's basically waiting for the quality to improve or for companies to stop being so greedy."
