DeLorean (Back to the Future Time Machine). Personally, I think it's the most iconic time travel work in movie history and the most famous time machine in pop culture.

The Set

The minifigs are Doc Brown and Marty McFly. Even though it's Speed Champions scale, you get two minifigs. Love that Marty uses the new jacket mold from the DreamZzz line.

Overall look of the build

Details like the dashboard numbers and the nuclear power source printed on the window piece are represented.

The manual gives you the freedom to build the versions from Part 1 or Part 2. The Part 1 DeLorean...

...has the lightning rod attached to the back, which is for...
...recreating that legendary scene where they escape right as the lightning strikes at the end of the movie.

The license plate also has the 'OUTATIME' detail.

This is what it looks like with the minifigs inside.

The Part 2 DeLorean flies and has a different power source to fit the 'future' concept.

So the back features the eco-friendly MR. FUSION that runs on trash.

The license plate changes to match the future too.

The wheels can be flipped for flight mode.

This set is great, but the downside is—as anyone who's built this knows—there's an awkward gap between those window pieces.

Of course, this can be fixed using a smooth L-shaped piece.

I still think the original form without the hook looks the best.

Highly recommend buying it if you enjoyed the movie.
"LEGO nerds are appreciating the 80s nostalgia and discussing custom mods to fix the window gap while the post climbs to the front page."
