I tried eating samgyeopsal alone at a BBQ place for the first time in my life.
It wasn't some grand challenge; I usually don't bother 'cause it's annoying, but something just compelled me to do it.
These are just my personal feels.
1. It’s pretty much the same as eating alone at a buffet.
2. I gave zero f*cks about the wait staff or the people around me.
3. Grilling the meat is more annoying than I thought (YouTube recommended solo meat-eaters because you can cook it exactly how you want, but I guess it’s a 'person by person' thing).
4. 2 servings of samgyeopsal was too much (Even counting the free steamed egg, doenjang stew, and rice, I was super stuffed). When I used the corporate card or company funds, I could easily crush 2-3 servings, am I just getting old or something? T_T
5. It cost just under 40,000 KRW, including a drink, and I kept thinking I should have just gotten a special size Gukbap (rice soup) instead.
That's how it went.
"The main takeaway: your stomach felt heavy because you forgot the key ingredient—the alcoholic digestive aid (Soju). Solo missions require proper liquid prep!"
