"The Turks told us not to shell them. They said that if we did, the enemy would be too weak for us to fight." - US Military Interview
"The Turks would say, 'Why are you shelling so much? Let the enemy come! We want to fight them ourselves.'" - Recollection of an officer from the US 25th Infantry Division
"The Turks complain that artillery ruins the battle. They seem to believe the enemy should be in pristine condition." - Assessment by a British Liaison Officer
"We told the Americans to save their shells. We would finish the enemy with bayonets." - Recollection of a Turkish veteran (NCO)

In November 1950, during the Battle of Wawon (Kunu-ri), when the entire US Eighth Army was on the brink of collapse due to the massive CCP offensive, the Turkish Brigade famously broke through the CCP forces blocking the retreat route, protecting the withdrawal of US and ROK forces.
"They were serious about their bayonets! Complaining that artillery made the fight too easy is next-level intensity. Admiring the sheer fighting spirit and bringing up ROK Taekwondo skills for balance."
