He said that for a ceasefire to happen, Cambodia must propose it directly to Thailand, not through a third-country leader.
The PM stated there were no discussions regarding a ceasefire with Cambodia today and asked the media to only rely on the information provided twice daily by the Thai military.
PM Anutin stressed, "It's impossible. No one can say there absolutely must be a ceasefire by 10 PM tonight," emphasizing that Thailand is facing Cambodian aggression and its national sovereignty is under threat.

He pointed out that Cambodian forces started shelling civilian targets this morning, adding that if Cambodia genuinely wants a ceasefire, they must withdraw all heavy weapons from the border.
Regarding Thai nationals stranded in the Cambodian border city of Poipet, where Cambodian authorities are preventing their return, the PM said, "They are unrelated to the current armed conflict, so I hope Cambodia does not take them hostage."
"Cambodia started the beef, now they're trying to phone a friend for a truce and using Thai citizens as human shields. Big brain move, guys."
