Summary post on who this boss is

I once wrote a summary about the Japanese ramen boss who appeared on Black & White Chef, known for his Japanese delinquent concept.

This guy runs a ramen shop called Gaya Gaya in the Ewha area. Life has been seriously trolling him—he got hit with the Foot-and-Mouth crisis, the No Japan movement, and the COVID pandemic (a triple whammy!), plus he suffered a cerebral infarction and the necrosis of his left eye.

Even so, he was running his ramen shop pretty happily for 15 years while doing YouTube on the side.

They say the Ewha/Sinchon area is the #1 dead commercial district in Seoul, yet the landlord is demanding double the rent, which is just too much of a burden, so he’s closing the shop.
They say his last day of operation is December 28th this year.

Looking at the comments, apparently there’s nothing around the shop. Doubling the rent probably means they are planning reconstruction or selling the building, but man, that sucks.
"The Ewha/Sinchon commercial district is officially dead, killed by greedy landlords. Everyone is roasting the building owner, but sadly, since the boss stayed 15 years, he’s past the legal protection period, allowing the landlord to pull the 'double rent or gtfo' move for potential resale or reconstruction. Rent law technicalities confirm: life is 억까 (unfair)."
