Since Red Bull sponsors all sorts of extreme sports, obviously it wasn't a normal tournament, right?

Dis?appointingly, it was just regular Tetris.

Instead, they used the 150m tall 'Dubai Frame' building in Dubai, UAE, as the game board. How did they use that space? They say they mobilized over 2,000 drones to create the Tetriminos (blocks).

Like this.
If you watch the gameplay video, the drones seem to be densely packed within the space, lighting up and turning off based on the movement.

The winner of this tournament, which featured 60 participants selected through national qualifiers, was 19-year-old Turkish computer science student Fehmi Atalar.

The Korean representative made it to the semifinals, but unfortunately lost in the face-off against the eventual winner.
"The true Red Bull experience would have required actual extreme sports, like using people as Tetris blocks. Shoutout to Max Verstappen for not being a drone."
