Hwang Eui-jin from Hongcheon Girls' High School is the talk of the town for getting the 'Triple Crown' acceptance to SNU, Yonsei, and Korea University pre-med programs.
This is Hwang Eui-jin, a senior at Hongcheon Girls' High School.
Born in Hongcheon, she graduated from Namsan Elementary and Hongcheon Girls' Middle School, and achieved her dream using the Rural/Fishery Area admission track.
She checked all the boxes for a genius, since all 3 top medical schools picked her.
First off, she had a clear goal: becoming a doctor.
When she was in 9th grade, she got hooked on doctors after watching the drama ‘Hospital Playlist,’ and she researched the job duties and skills before setting it as her career path.
She never lost the top spot throughout middle school, but instead of blindly pursuing specialized or private schools, she safely chose her local high school.
Her family background played a part too.
Her parents, who run a hagwon (cram school), decorated their house like a library, creating an environment where she was constantly surrounded by books.
She was also active in the dance club and got along great with her friends.
