According to the contents of an October 2020 'Signal' messenger conversation between Chairman Kim and former Coupang CPO (Chief Privacy Officer), an American identified as Mr. A, obtained by Hankyoreh on December 17, 2025, Chairman Kim, who was then the head of Coupang's Korean entity, instructed that only the parts favorable to the company be highlighted from the CCTV footage showing Mr. Jang working, ahead of the National Assembly Inspection.
