This is the pic that went viral on Dog Drip today.
First, let's check if this is facts.
1. LINA Life & Kang Dong Woo Institute of Sexology (Korea, 2016) This is one of the most famous surveys targeting Korean men, showing numbers close to 50%. Result: 50.8% of adult men responded that they had cheated (Women: 9.3%).

2. Chosun Ilbo <Anyway, Weekend> Survey (2020) This survey hints at recent changes in public perception. Result: 41.3% of married men responded that they had cheated (Married women: 24.4%).

3. Seoul Shinmun 'Affair Report' (2015) A large-scale survey targeting 2,000 married individuals around the time the adultery law was abolished. Result: Approximately 40% of married men reported having committed adultery (infidelity including sexual relations).

Conclusion: I don't think it's 50%, but definitely at least 30%~40%.
Second, regarding the question that 'Dog Boongs' (community users) often have: "If 50% of men cheat, shouldn't 50% of women also cheat?" This is surprisingly easy to explain.

Unfortunately, even if women don't cheat, the top 50% of men get multiple opportunities. And while there are many women who date constantly, there aren't many men who date constantly.
Furthermore, although the male infidelity rate has slightly decreased, the female infidelity rate is also rising. Men 50.8%, Women 9.3% (LINA Life - Kang Dong Woo Institute joint survey, 2016) Men 41.3%, Women 24.4% (Chosun Ilbo survey, 2020).
Third, finally...
My fellow Dog Boongs here might feel bad hearing this since they love pure romance (순애), but based on my 'personal experience stat,' there is something called 'flirting pressure' that statistics can't explain.
"Users debate infidelity statistics, then realize they are likely in the "unpopular 50%," leading to self-deprecating memes and a sudden descent into niche forum degeneracy."
