


He was attending Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (a top-tier engineering school) for Civil Engineering, dropped out in his senior year because he wanted to learn cooking. Then went to the CIA (one of the world's top 3 culinary schools) and dropped out of there too.
After that, he worked at several Michelin restaurants.
But then someone asked him to open a restaurant together in Korea, so even though he had PR (permanent residency), he went and served in the military...
Now heโs a chef with 1 Michelin star for Western food AND 1 Michelin star for Korean food, holy moly.
