1. Oil. Saudi Arabia ranks 1st or 2nd globally in oil reserves. While the sheer volume is similar to Venezuela, the quality of Saudi crude is overwhelmingly better, making Saudi oil much more cost-effective (better bang for your buck).

2. Natural Gas. Saudi Arabia's natural gas reserves rank around 6th, slightly ahead of China. While it doesn't beat Russia or Iran, itโs an enormous amount relative to the size of the country.

3. Phosphate. Saudi Arabia holds around 1 billion tons of phosphate (some sources say 2.7 billion tons), ranking it about 9th or 10th worldwide.

4. Gold. It recently made headlines after discovering a 125km gold vein. This is expected to drive Saudi Arabiaโs GDP growth and aid Crown Prince Bin Salman's Saudi 2030 project. However, itโs not significant enough to be ranked globally (Russia is #1 in gold reserves).

5. Rare Earth Elements (REE). Saudi Arabia and the US signed a resource agreement this year, with REE being the core asset. Saudi Arabia ranks 4th globally for REE. Specifically, the Jabal Sayid mine holds 550,000 tons of heavy REE and 350,000 tons of light REE. REE is essential for stealth fighters and missiles, which is why China tends to cut REE supply first during conflicts with the US. To prevent this, the US has been making agreements with countries like Australia and Saudi Arabia.

6. Mecca. Strictly speaking, this isn't a natural resource, but the money spent by religious pilgrims is astronomical. Saudi Arabia sits back and earns tens of trillions of won annually. Crown Prince Bin Salman aims to increase revenue from the tourism industryโincluding pilgrimsโto $150 billion.
"The comment section starts with a ridiculous joke about Saudi Arabia mining 'guitars' (a mistranslation of 'others'), before transitioning into a painful discussion about why Korea has no resources left (Spoiler: history)."
