Kim Beom-seok, who hit the most home runs in high school and was drafted in the first round by the LG Twins.
After getting drafted, he went astray dealing with shoulder injury rehab and personal problems. He couldn't manage his weight and only trained individually outside the team structure during the '25 season.
In the end, he got his draft notice and enlisted in the military.
He recently completed basic training, lost 18kg (40 lbs) in one month, and earned special leave (Teukbak) and an early promotion.
Apparently, he used his special leave to get surgery to shave down his hand bones (metacarpals?), and the rumor going around is that Kim Beom-seok's commanding officer is an LG fan and personally vowed to make sure Kim Beom-seok loses weight LOL.
