If you just look at the title, it’s easy to think this is a typical disaster blockbuster, but nope, this movie mixes a bunch of different elements. Honestly though, I feel like a straightforward disaster blockbuster would have been better off.

First off, the development in the beginning and middle parts is frustrating and annoying, and frankly, the reason for it isn't very relatable either. I get what they were trying to say, but did they really need to drag it out this much? It's not often that a 1 hour and 48 minute movie feels this incredibly long.

Kim Da-mi, the lead actress, acted well and probably suffered a lot while filming. The problem is the child actor—even ignoring the wooden acting, they had zero charm and no chemistry with Kim Da-mi. Considering how crucial the role was, I think this is pretty close to a miscasting.

It uses massive amounts of CGI, and the quality is actually decent, but since it's all water, watching it can feel less impactful—that’s a drawback. Some specific scenes are cool, but they’re way too short.

Overall, it’s definitely not a light watch for entertainment, but it's not profound or particularly impressive either, so I really don't recommend it.

Rating: ★★

* Tl;dr: My precious Friday night went down the drain for nothing.
