The Finnish PM’s apology for the anti-Asian racism incident, brought up by the Korean, Chinese, and Japanese embassies a few days ago.
But the Southeast Asians who saw it are getting pissed off, asking if Asia only has China/Japan/Korea, and why the PM only apologized to rich, powerful nations but not to other Southeast Asian countries.
Even though they claim the slitty-eye racist gesture doesn't concern Southeast Asians, it looks like a lot of SEAs are really mad and triggered that the apology was only given to Korea, China, and Japan.
"The ultimate irony: SEAs demanding an apology for a racist gesture they usually claim doesn't apply to them—and often use against EAs—just because they weren't name-dropped."
