I spent my CIA career going to only the most dangerous countries... (omitted)... The most dangerous moment was my 5th visit to Yemen. A group of South Korean diplomats arrived then. They got ambushed on the way from the airport to the hotel, and all 6 were killed. A few days later, Korean intelligence agents came to investigate the incident, and they were ambushed and killed too. Eventually, South Korea closed the embassy and left. May they rest in peace.
