The trope of the male lead wallowing in self-blame and falling apart because he misses the FL is super common. Usually, when I watch those, I’m like 'Is it really that deep?' but Kyung-do hits different. The woman who dumped him says she'll stay, misses her flight for him, and says they'll live together—it's all up to him. In that moment, his anxiety turns into certainty. Seeing him having the time of his life, knowing it's all gonna shatter and he'll be abandoned again... it makes total sense why he'd be absolutely destroyed. I could really empathize with him, it was great.
"Everyone is in collective pain for Kyung-do, agreeing that getting 'double-tapped' by his first love after 8 years is enough to break anyone's sanity."
