Just got back from seeing it at Yongsan IMAX with the fam. Back in the day, there was this movie called Independence Day, and the director, Roland Emmerich, was (and still is) the king of pure spectacle. But Independence Day was... well, the plot was lacking, let's say. The visuals were insane, but I kept wishing for just a *bit* more story. I used to look down on that movie and the director because of it.
"The community is divided: some are still traumatized by how boring Part 2's plot was, while others are ready to sell their souls for the IMAX visuals. The general consensus is 'story is mid, but your eyes will thank you.'"
