PCIe 5.0? 4.0? Honestly, even if you go to the extreme and compare it to SATA, the only difference is a 0.5-second faster loading time. I’m not even exaggerating—that 0.5-second loading boost is literally the only difference. There’s not even a 0.1 difference in FPS. 980 Pro? P51? Does a 0.5-second faster load justify that price gap? Personally, I think as long as you avoid QLC, it doesn't matter if it has DRAM or if it’s Chinese NAND—you can buy literally 'anything.' Of course, if you have data that can't be lost or if it's for professional work, you should know better and buy accordingly.
"The community generally agrees that for average gamers, the high-end NVMe speeds are overkill compared to the price, with many users testifying that even old-school SATA SSDs feel just as fast in real-world loading scenarios."
