Director Kim Byung-woo shared his thoughts on releasing two large-scale films in a single year.
Following the summer release of 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint' (ORV), Kim is now reaching global audiences through the Netflix original film 'The Great Flood'. In an interview at a cafe in Samcheong-dong on the 12th, he started by saying, "As a director, I feel relieved now that the work is out. I've been planning this for 10 years, and post-production took a long time. I feel I’ve done everything I could as a director, so I feel mostly refreshed."
"Netizens are absolutely savage about the director's 'experimental' flops, though a few points to Netflix rankings as a possible lifeline for his career."
