TGI Fridays: ???
I remember back in the day at TGI, if you asked for a birthday celebration, the staff would gather around, sing, and someone would play the guitar... I always remember it ending with a Polaroid photo...
The 'Birthday Celebration Song' service first introduced in Korea by T.G.I. Fridays involves a team of 6–7 staff members playing instruments like guitars, bongos, tambourines, and cabasas for customers on birthdays or anniversaries. Staff practice instruments during their breaks and even compose or adapt their own lyrics. They also put effort into diverse customers, like sign language songs for disabled guests or cute choreography for children.
"Users are debating the fine line between 'service' and 'illegal dancing' in restaurants, referencing everything from TGI Fridays and Haidilao to shady hostess bars and the strict Korean laws that separate regular eateries from 'entertainment pubs.'"
