Heo Ji-woong has a point and I relate. I actually enjoyed 'The Flash,' but I felt a bit hurt when everyone on community sites started trashing it as the biggest flop of all time.
But putting that aside, seeing filmmakers and journalists lash out collectively at the reviews for 'The Great Flood'... it feels like it's not just because they genuinely liked the movie. It seems more like media pros are getting touchy because the Korean film market has shrunk so much and the industry is being pushed around by internet word-of-mouth.
"The community thinks the Korean film industry is having a total meltdown because the market is tanking, leading to some serious 'defense mechanism' energy from insiders."
