The name is just because it looks like a banana; it doesn't actually taste like one. It just has a sweet squash flavor. Looks like it's usually sliced and roasted or used for baking things like pies. Personally, I don't think it looks that much like a banana, so I'm not sure who named it. Upvote if this was interesting/cool, or if you think OP is funny.
