Everyone probably knows about the issue where Gigabyte's 50-series GPUs had thermal gel slathered everywhere and leaking out. Recently, they released a 'normal' version without the excessive gel under the name V2. Basically, everyone who bought the original cards just got backstabbed lol.
The reason I never recommend Gigabyte for PC parts is because their 'tradition' is to release an unfinished product first and then pull a V1/V2 revision scheme to fix it, totally screwing over existing buyers.
Even if it’s expensive, just buy ASUS or go with Zotac, Emtek, or Galax for the good after-sales service (AS) lol. FYI, I don't recommend MSI because they cut costs on the VRM so much it's actually insane.
"PC enthusiasts are roasting Gigabyte for their notorious 'revision' tactics and 'backstabbing' early adopters, while swearing by brands known for better customer support."
