Mabinogi is currently running a 'Build a Christmas Tree' event.
It's a server-wide event where everyone chips in decorations to unlock rewards for the whole server.
The ghost-town servers, Kalix (aka Kallungdo) and Maven, were falling behind on turn-ins and were about to miss out on the Santa outfits.
But then, players from other servers started creating new characters on Kalix just to help turn in decorations.
Wholesome ending: they finished the event together.
