The other day I saw this post where someone's 15 billion KRW account got nuked down to 200 million!! :O Most people would see that and think, 'Damn, crypto is dangerous,' but my brain went: 'Wait, crypto is this exciting??' If 15 billion can become 200 million, can't it work the other way around? LOL. I had some crazy thoughts like that. I've traded stocks before but I'm a total noob at crypto, so I decided to let AI take the wheel.

I have a mini PC that's always on at home, so I'm gonna run my program there. My program gets the Buy/Sell decisions from Gemini and then executes them via the exchange API. Since Gemini does all the heavy lifting, even a crypto-clueless guy like me can trade easily! I wasn't sure which exchange to use, but there are so many in Korea. Everyone said Upbit has the easiest API and the best docs, so I went with them. 'Setting up Upbit API': You need a few things. 1. Upbit app/account. 2. Real-name verification. 3. K-Bank account link (only K-Bank works!). 4. Generate API keys.

Since Cursor AI was doing all the coding, I just grabbed the keys and didn't even look at the other docs LOL. I felt a bit sketchy doing that, but I barely even checked the generated code. 'K-exchanges don't have Short/Leverage...' Apparently, domestic exchanges don't support shorting or leveraged trading. There's something called 'securities lending' where you can technically short, but... man, K-exchanges are 'no jam' (no fun)! Because of the laws, it feels like you're just trading crypto like stocks. A bit boring, but I decided to see it through since I already started.

When you use ChatGPT or Gemini [web], they search for news themselves, right? But you can't do that via API!! I had to scrape the news and current prices myself and feed them to Gemini. My program got way 'fatter' and took longer to build than I expected!!! Here are some of my prompt strategies: 1. Trend interpretation 2. Moving average analysis 3. Judging oversold opportunities 4. Volume change interpretation 5. Volatility-based risk assessment 6. Extra strategy suggestions.

'The market is in shambles...' But... crypto has been dumping lately, right? No matter what coin I click, the graphs are all pointing down. I was worried if even the great Gemini could trade well in this climate. 'Anyway, let's go.'

I started the program. Since it's for testing, I just put in 100k KRW and watched. As soon as it started, Gemini did its own analysis and started buying up different coins lol. Surprisingly, it picked winners because my positions are currently in the green (+). I set the program to check the market every 30 mins and trade if needed. Gemini analyzes it like this and makes the final call.

Woke up and saw new coins bought and profits up lol. I've always wanted someone to work for me, and I guess this is how it feels. It's only been 2 days though, and you only know the real profit once you sell, right? I'm gonna watch for about a month. If it handles things well without losses for a month, I'll bump it to 1M KRW, and if that goes well, maybe 10M. I don't know crypto well, but even in stocks, you'd make money if you just stuck to the planโit's the 'not sticking to the plan' that causes losses. Since the program and Gemini are emotionless machines, they'll probably be better than me. lol. If it works out, I'll post it on GitHub!
"The OP is living the dream of having an AI sugar daddy earn him crypto dust while he sleeps. Users are impressed but warning him that he might get 'rekt' when the market decides to take a nosedive."
