Rumors are spreading that AMD is dropping a monster gaming CPU called the 9950X3D2, packed with a whopping 192MB of cache.
If you're wondering what cache is, it's super-fast storage inside the CPU that's way faster than RAM. The bigger it is, the better it is for gaming.
Intel used to only give you around 30MB of cache, even in their high-end lineups.
But then the 7800X3D blew everyone's minds by putting in 96MB, which is triple that amount.
Now there's a rumor they're doubling even that—a true beast among beasts.
"Hardware nerds are losing it over the potential L3 cache gains, especially the Paradox Interactive fans who need every bit of it, though everyone knows they'll just use that beastly power to watch YouTube and play 20-year-old games."
