I was bored so I picked and reviewed the 10 best tour courses I've been to. Pick some to visit once the season starts next year.
1. Yeongwol, Jeongseon, Taebaek. Spots: Donggang, Manhangjae, Gumunso. In my opinion, these are the GOATs of Korea. Most tour spots in Korea have similar-looking mountains and rivers, but this place feels truly exotic.

Donggang scenery

Manhangjae, which feels like climbing into an Isekai (another world)

Gumunso (tourist spot) Recommended courses: [links] 2. Jeju, the Island of Fantasy. Spots: Coastal Road, 1100-goji, Bijarim-ro

No need to even mention how pretty the ocean is

It's so gorgeous riding while looking at the summit of Hallasan

Bijarim-ro is obviously amazing too. Recommended courses: Coastal circuit, Hallasan loop. 3. Mungyeong, the flower of the Cross-Country Tour. Spots: Mungyeong Saejae bike path, Ihwaryeong

This path is picked as the GOAT by everyone doing the Cross-Country tour... it's legendary pretty...

Ihwaryeong is also really nice and pretty

The Chungju~Mungyeong section was the best in the Cross-Country tour, followed by Yeoju. Recommended courses: Cross-Country Tour, Mungyeong Saejae Gran Fondo. 4. Yeosu, Goheung. Spots: The 5 bridges between Yeosu and Goheung, Dolsando

The 5 bridges are now super famous because of the Yeosu Gran Fondo. Photos don't do them justice, but riding there feels truly majestic.

The Goheung sea is also so pretty (wait, why don't I have a photo?)

Watching the sunset at Yeojaman is also great. Recommended courses: Yeojaman Loop [link], Yeosu Gran Fondo. 5. Byeonsan Peninsula National Park

This really doesn't look like the typical West Sea. It's a legit GOAT-tier course but people don't know it well.

The Saemangeum Seawall road visible in the distance is also good. I heard the Gogunsan Islands are really pretty too, but I'm bummed I couldn't go. Recommended: [link], Buan Medio Fondo. 6. Seomjingang, the Tier 1 of the 4 Major Rivers. You guys probably know this one, so I'll skip through.

Actually, it was Day 3 of the tour so I took photos half-assed lol. The weather was bad too.

But it's still pretty.

Recommended courses: Seomjingang Tour, Jirisan Gran Fondo(?). 7. Gangneung. Spots: Coastal Road, Daegwallyeong

Out of the East Coast tour, I found Gangneung to be the prettiest.

Daegwallyeong is an HC-grade climb that even 'bike-bies' (beginners) can do. There are no crazy steep sections and the downhill is a 2-lane road, which is nice. Recommended: Jeongdong-Jeongseo, East Coast Tour. 8. Pyeongchang, the Cycling Heaven. Spots: Anbandegi, Auraji. There's no place better for cycling than Pyeongchang. You can even park for free at the ski resorts.

Auraji is freaking pretty

Odaecheon Valley road

Anbandegi... honestly, if it's not cabbage season, the scenery is 'meh', but it's worth going once.

Songcheon Valley. Recommended course: Tour de Pyeongchang (Highly, highly recommended) [link]
9. Danyang, the Tour Hotspot. Spots: Bobaljae, Cement Factory, Moss Tunnel. Danyang is where people usually go for their first tour because the courses are easy enough for bike-bies and there are tons of photo spots. Highly recommended.

Bobaljae, the heaven of autumn leaves (it only looks insane if you look down from the top)

A dystopian-looking cement factory

Moss Tunnel. Recommended courses: [links] 10. Yanggu. Spots: Dolsallyeong, Haesallyeong, Peace Dam, Yanggu Old Road. Honestly, this area has some brutal climbs. But the scenery is damn good lol.

The Punchbowl view from Yanggu Dolsallyeong

Hangyeryeong (Technically not in Yanggu, though). Recommended courses: [links] for pros. The scenery I saw with my own eyes was breathtaking, but looking back at the photos is a bit disappointing... Just go see it yourself. Also, please use Mrs. Woo's blog a lot (as I've said many times, I have no relation to her...). Tours are the best. Source: Road Cycle Gallery.
