A dev explaining his game Hexagod (which flopped)

The literal embodiment of depression and saltiness;;

Ranting about his life being a total mess

The waves of pain and sorrow hitting hard...

But he didn't give up and made a new idler game

Which is 'A Game About Feeding A Black Hole'

(!!) Surprisingly, this game miraculously hit 25,000 wishlists after the demo launch. Since this was just a 'whatever' side project he had less passion for than Hexagod, he was totally shocked. This gave him the drive to polish the full build and find the fun in it.

The game absolutely blew up, and that was the revenue for day one. Even after Gabe takes his 30% cut and taxes, it was enough to cover 5 months of living expensesโsurpassing his total revenue from his previous two games over 3 years ($40k) in just one day...

Dev is overwhelmed with emotion... but he's a chad so he didn't let the tears fall.

Now he's telling the story of how he made $175k (around 250 million KRW) in the first 4 days LOL

The game is currently on sale for the Winter Sale! Source: Indie Game Gallery [View Original]
"The community agrees that 'financial therapy' is the ultimate cure for depression and that niche, complex games are a one-way ticket to being broke."
