Yesterday, an unidentified hacker somehow managed to breach Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege servers.
They spent over 3 hours roaming around the R6 servers, absolutely wrecking everything.
From what's been confirmed so far,
It looks like the hacker found a server vulnerability and exploited it.
The hacker started 'reverse-pickpocketing' R6 credits (paid currency) to players, making everyone rich.
They even filled the ban log windows with song lyrics,
Or added mocking comments like 'Have a Merry Christmas.'
To make matters worse, innocent players are getting banned left and right.
The devs realized they had zero control over the situation,
So they shut the servers down and have been in recovery mode for over 24 hours now lol.
