Dec 27th, just a one-day trip to the stream in front of my house. Not expecting any prizes, just happy to participate. Everyone else is out on dates while I'm out here birdwatching. 1. Little Grebe

2. Cute Tree Sparrow

3. Spot-billed Duck

4. Majestic Grey-capped Greenfinch

5. Black-headed Gull (Lifer!)

6. The local stream's gatekeeper, the White Wagtail

7. White-cheeked Starling (Lifer!)

8. A startled Brown-eared Bulbul

9. Common Teals (looking like engineering students in a male-dominated major)

10. Bull-headed Shrike 'Roundie'

11. Mallard

12. Grey Heron in flight

13. Oriental Magpie

14. Oriental Turtle Dove with bloodshot eyes from gaming all night

15. Mandarin Duck couple. Even ducks are dating, so why am I... 16. Boogeyman Great Cormorant

17. Great Tit

18. The cool Sparrowhawk hyung (Lifer!) 19. Kestrel (Lifer!)

Pros: Added Kestrel to my life list. Cons: Didn't get to see the Kestrel's face. 20. Little Egret

21. Great Egret

22. Grey Wagtail (Lifer!) Something yellow just went BAM! as I was passing by. 23. Long-billed Plover

Saw it in the exact same spot as last year. 24. Large-billed Crow (Lifer!) Surprisingly, I've never snapped a pic of one before. I see them all the time, but they always vanish the moment I bring my camera. Around 3 PM, a huge flock of geese headed for the fields across the stream, so I followed them. 25. Greater White-fronted Goose (Lifer!)

Live life with confidence, just like this White-fronted Goose standing proud among the Bean Geese. 26. Thick-billed Bean Goose

27. Bean Goose. Seeing how it's the only one awake while everyone else sleeps, it's either insomnia or it's on night watch. A 'pseudo-bird' I saw while passing by:

Technically a red bird, but... My goal was to hit over 30 species, but I failed by 3. Still, I added 7 lifers, so it was a satisfying birding trip.
