My "other-side" husband says he won't give a single cent to my parents just because I mentioned "self-filial piety."

I haven't gone to my in-laws to help with Kimjang even once since we got married, and I've always said filial piety should be 'self-serve.' Now my 'other-side' husband says he's not going to spend a single dime of his money on my parents anymore. Is making kimchi really the same as a birthday? Sure, he pays for birthday gifts, but that money is also mine since I'm the one doing the housework and childcare, so it's 'couple's money.' I tried explaining that a daughter from another family going to do manual labor at her husband's parents' house is a completely different story, but he's such a dumbass he won't listen. Please give him a piece of your mind. I seriously doubt his IQ if he thinks forcing someone else's kid to make kimchi is comparable to spending joint money on family events.
